We’re here for dreams of all sizes – whether you’re just starting out, looking to start a brand new career in Early Years, or want to reignite your old one. Our full-time and part-time apprenticeships (for educators, chefs and support office roles) mean that you can earn while you learn, and can work in a flexible way to suit your needs.

For those who are new to Early Years, our Level 2 and Level 3 Apprenticeships are delivered in work – and in partnership – with specialists in Apprenticeship training. Offered through a blend of online and on-the-job training, it will give you all the skills and hands-on training you need to deliver the highest quality of inspirational education and care for every child.

If you’re looking to jump to the next step, or are returning to the sector after a career break, we can offer Level 5 and 7 apprenticeships to fast-track you to leadership.

Level 2 & 3 Nursery Apprenticeship

The Level 2 Early Years Practitioner (15 months) and Level 3 Early Years Educator (18 months) nursery apprenticeships have been created to help you develop the skills and confidence you need to kick-start your career as an Educator. Like the children we educate, your experience will include working in different nursery rooms and across a wide spectrum of activities within the N Curriculum including Forest School, The N Passport, Spanish.

Twenty percent of your time will be dedicated to ‘off the job’ training, learning the knowledge, skills and behaviours within the apprenticeship standards. You will also have a dedicated tutor and mentor to support you throughout your training. Once you have completed your apprenticeship you will have a full and relevant qualification that will support you throughout your career in early years. From here your career can develop into a specialism of your choice or into management.

Career Changer and Returner Apprenticeships

Our Career Changer and Returner Apprenticeships are designed to help people restart their career in the world of education, or to support a return to the Early Years. Offering a unique opportunity to earn while you learn, they can be a really practical way to change or enhance your career, without taking on any debt.

For career changers, our Level 2 and Level 3 Early Years Apprenticeships are delivered in work – and in partnership – with specialists in Apprenticeship training. Apprenticeships are fully funded by N Family Club, leading to an industry recognised qualification and can include the opportunity to upskill your Maths and English qualifications, where necessary. You will be paid a salary and will be fully supported to ensure you develop all the knowledge and skills you need to start your new career in early years. 

For career returners, our Level 5 and 7 Apprenticeships offer an opportunity to progress, and undertake training to update your knowledge with sector changes. In addition to an apprenticeship we can also offer internal CPD and Leadership courses within our own N academy training, plus support you with refresher courses in First Aid, Safeguarding and IT. As we’re growing rapidly, there are lots of chances to progress or specialise, if that’s your aspiration. 

 

Level 5 Lead Practitioner Apprenticeship

The Level 5 Lead Practitioner Apprenticeship is designed for experienced practitioners looking to advance their career and who are able to demonstrate how to be an effective role model of play-based learning, supporting others in the development of their practice, and being responsible for the quality of the learning and development in their setting. This apprenticeship prepares you for a leadership role within the organisation.

Front of House Apprenticeships

Front of House is the first impression of N Family. Children and parents deserve the very best experience, and your dedication to the highest quality service will shine through. Our Apprentice Front of Houses will be working closely with the Front of House Manager, gaining insight from their experience and complementing this with ‘off the job’ training to build your customer service and organisation skills.

We offer a range of apprentices to all our Front of House team members, depending on their experience. These include:

  • Customer Service Practitioner L2
  • Customer Service Specialist L3
  • Business Administrator L3
  • Team Leader or Supervisor L3

Who we’re looking for

You will be a creative and highly organised individual with impeccable people skills, always looking to go the extra mile for our customers. You will be assisting the Front of House Manager with the nurseries’ budget, consumables stock management, sales and occupancy and procurement. You will be a dynamic individual with a passion for operations, who isn’t fazed by a fast-paced and ever-changing environment! You will be solution-focused and a real team player. This will allow you to make your mark and help N realise our vision of being the highest quality and most loved, early years education group in the UK.

Level 3 Chef Apprenticeship

This Apprenticeship is offered to N Family Club’s qualified Chefs who already hold the Level 2 Production Chef or equivalent qualification and who wish to develop their existing skills and knowledge in kitchen operations and nutrition, as well as business and commercials.

Who we’re looking for

We’re looking for people with a thirst for learning, who have a desire to learn more about working in the kitchen and gaining the skills needed to progress and develop..

Kitchen Assistant Apprenticeship

With ambitions and a genuine interest in becoming a Chef, as an Apprentice kitchen Assistant you’ll learn every aspect of what it takes to run a state-of-the-art commercial kitchen. With an appetite for learning and an interest in childhood nutrition, you’ll go beyond to assist with cooking fresh and inspiring food for every child in the nursery. You’ll focus on the health and hygiene of your kitchen. Being outstandingly outstanding at everything from pot-washing to managing weekly orders and stock rotation. And your funded level 2 Production Chef Assistant programme will give you all the tools, and the paid-time out, you need to build a great career.

Who we’re looking for

We’re looking for great listeners, brilliant learners and people who take pride in the highest standards of care in what they do. You’ll build a strong working relationship with the Chef, earning as you’re learning, and developing skills across the entire kitchen spectrum. You’ll be brimming with enthusiasm and will ideally have some experience working in a similar environment. Most importantly, your genuine interest in building a career as a Chef will be complimented by your attitude to ‘make it happen’.

Support Office Apprenticeships

We offer a range of business and leadership specific apprenticeships for our Non-Educators and Support Office teams. These are easily accessible, there are no age restrictions and prior qualifications are not a barrier as the apprenticeship will support you to develop the knowledge, skills and behaviours needed in your role. The apprenticeships include:

Be on time

Being on time means that you’ll be more relaxed when you meet us. Which means you can be yourself, rather than the rushed and slightly out of breath version.

Doing your homework on us as a nursery group, the role and the location helps massively. When you’re more prepared, you’re more likely to succeed.
