Modern Slavery Statement

Organisation

This statement applies to N Family Holdings Ltd. The information included in the statement refers to the financial year 2023-2024.

Organisational structure

N Family Club is a private limited company, headquartered in London, with operations and over 1,000 (permanent and casual) employees in the United Kingdom. N Family Club is owned and controlled by the CEO and a Board of Directors.

While the majority of our operations and employees are located in London, the Home Counties, and the West Midlands, we also employ a small number of our workforce in Serbia, where we operate a subsidiary or branch office.

At N Family Club, our core activity revolves around providing essential childcare services. We are dedicated to delivering exceptional care that prioritises the wellbeing and development of every child entrusted to us. Unlike industries that experience seasonal fluctuations, the demand for our childcare services remains consistently high throughout the year. This sustained demand underscores the critical nature of our services in meeting the ongoing needs of families. It is imperative to recognise that our operations, driven by this steady demand, require a committed and ethically treated workforce to uphold our standards of care and service excellence.

Commitment

N Family Club acknowledges its responsibilities in relation to tackling modern slavery and commits to complying with the provisions in the Modern Slavery Act 2015. N Family Club understands that this requires an ongoing review of both its internal practices in relation to its labour force and, additionally, its supply chains.

N Family Club does not enter into business with any other organisation, in the United Kingdom or abroad, which knowingly supports or is found to involve itself in slavery, servitude, and forced or compulsory labour.

No labour provided to N Family Club for the provision of its own services is obtained by means of slavery or human trafficking. N Family Club strictly adheres to the minimum standards required in relation to its responsibilities under relevant employment legislation in the United Kingdom and Serbia.

N Family Club is committed to upholding ethical labour practices throughout its operations. This commitment extends to its recruitment processes, working conditions, employee rights, and efforts to prevent modern slavery and human trafficking within its workforce.

Supply chains

In order to fulfil its activities, the main supply chains of N Family Club include those related to the supply of food, equipment and other products; services for cleaning, services to support HR, Health and Safety and Rostering processes, facilities offerings and child/adult care and employment agencies.

Potential exposure

In general, due to the nature of its business and policies, procedures and practices, N Family Club considers its exposure to slavery/human trafficking to be relatively limited.

Nonetheless, it has taken steps to ensure that such practices do not take place in its business nor the business of any organisation that supplies goods and/or services to it.

It continues to be a priority for N Family Club to ensure it operates ethically, sources responsibly and works to prevent modern slavery and human trafficking throughout its business and supply chains.

Steps

We carry out due diligence processes as listed below in relation to ensuring slavery and/or human trafficking does not take place in its business or supply chains.

We have not, to our knowledge, conducted any business with another organisation that has been found to have involved itself with modern slavery.

In accordance with section 54(4) of the Modern Slavery Act 2015, we have taken the following steps to ensure that modern slavery is not taking place:

  • Embedded procurement practices which include Data Protection, Impact and Modern Slavery assessments for every new contract at the point of signature to ensure their compliance with anti-slavery.
  • Conducted audits on large suppliers that fall into high-risk categories to assess modern slavery risks.
  • Implemented robust policies and procedures for all our supply chain.
  • Committed to completing due diligence practices on its suppliers prior to their on-boarding.
  • Embedded a zero-tolerance policy towards modern slavery.
  • Embedded a Modern Slavery policy that supports employees to confidentially report any genuine concerns relating to modern-day slavery, human trafficking or human rights violations and give assurance that these concerns will be dealt with appropriately.
  • In instances where suppliers fail to meet our standards, they will be provided with a suitability questionnaire to complete and sign, ensuring compliance with modern slavery legislation.
  • All employees are recruited in line with our Safer Recruitment Policy which entails robust pre-employment checks on right to work, verification of employment history, DBS checks and overseas police checks/certificates of good conduct.
  • All employees receive thorough training around whistleblowing – this training is heavily focused around safeguarding children. This culture creates an environment which empowers employees to raise other concerns using appropriate and defined channels.
  • All employees have access to a confidential HR online helpline.
  • Market-related pay and rewards are reviewed annually.
  • Wellbeing initiatives to support employees physical and mental wellbeing are in place.
