Sustainability in action: what we’re doing
Applying to be an Eco-School
We’re currently working towards all our nurseries becoming accredited Eco-Schools – a globally recognised award that celebrates nurseries and schools making real, measurable environmental change. Our children are already getting involved in eco-projects, and our team plays a huge role in leading and supporting these initiatives.
Cycle to Work scheme
We offer a Cycle to Work scheme to encourage greener, healthier commutes. It’s a great way to cut your carbon footprint, save money, and start your day on a positive note. We also provide secure bike storage and changing facilities (where available), so it’s as easy as possible to ride in.
Reusable coffee cups & conscious breaks
We’ve banned single-use cups and plastics in our nurseries and give every new team member a reusable N coffee cup. It’s a small touch – but together, it makes a big difference. Plus, we encourage everyone to recycle properly, reduce food waste, and share eco-friendly tips through their N Reps.
Low-waste nursery practices
We’re always reviewing how we reduce waste – from using washable cloths instead of face wipes and taking part in ground-breaking nappy recycling projects, to creative upcycling in our ateliers. Team members are encouraged to bring ideas forward and help shape a more sustainable setting, inside and out.
