At N, our Nursery Managers are the beating heart of everything we do.
They lead our teams, support our families, and shape the environments where children take their first steps into learning and discovery. But beyond the title, Nursery Managers at N are mentors, problem-solvers, and passionate advocates for early years education.
Through their leadership, experience, and care, they create nurseries where children feel safe, curious, and inspired to grow.
That’s why we’ve launched our Nursery Manager Series, a video series designed to shine a light on the people behind the role and the journeys that brought them into early years. Because every Nursery Manager has a story to tell.
Season 1: The One Where You Meet the Managers
The first season of our Nursery Manager Series is all about the people behind the role.
We explore how our Managers began their careers, what continues to inspire them, and why early years education matters so deeply to them. Through these conversations, one thing becomes clear: there is no single path into childcare leadership.
Many of our Managers discovered their passion for early years in unexpected ways. But they all share the same purpose, making a meaningful impact on children and families.
Episode 1: The One Where It All Began
Featuring Aman, Nursery Manager at N Wimbledon
“I never planned to work in childcare. I actually wanted to be a lawyer.”
For Aman, a career in early years wasn’t part of the original plan.
Growing up with younger siblings meant she was often helping at home and spending time caring for children. Over time, that experience sparked an interest that led her into early years education and ultimately into leadership.
When Aman discovered N, something felt different. She was drawn to the vision behind the nurseries and the experience N aims to create for children and families.
Today, as Nursery Manager at N Wimbledon, she leads her team with the same motivation that first brought her into childcare: making a difference.
“My dream is to make an impact on the families, children and team that I work with.”
For Aman, early years is about more than education. It’s about shaping the foundations of life and helping families understand the importance of these formative years.

Episode 2: The One Where Mornings Get Busy
Featuring Chelsea, Senior Nursery Manager at N Angel
“A calm nursery morning doesn’t happen by accident. It actually starts the day before.”
For Chelsea, leadership begins long before the nursery doors open.
With over six years at N, she understands that a successful day is built on preparation, consistency, and a strong team. By the time the morning begins, everything is in place, allowing her to focus on what matters most: welcoming families into a calm, organised environment.
But behind every smooth morning is something even more important: team culture.
At N Angel, Chelsea has built a team that supports one another, celebrates each other’s successes, and works together to create the best possible experience for children and families.
“We play as a team. We support one another whenever it’s needed, and we’re each other’s biggest cheerleaders.”
When Chelsea first joined N, she was looking for a new challenge and a place where teams are truly valued. Six years later, that sense of excitement hasn’t changed.
“I still find it exciting now, six years down the line.”

Episode 3: The One Where the Why Comes First
Featuring Khushbu, Nursery Manager at N Whetstone
“It’s not about fancy activities or resources… it’s all about you being present.”
In the third episode of Season 1, we explore something deeper: the “Why” behind the role.
For Khushbu, it’s the small, everyday moments that define early years, a child feeling safe, being themselves, or running up for a hug at the start of the day. These are the moments that remind her why she chose this path.
“When a child comes running up to you and gives you a hug… you know it’s worth doing this job.”
For her, early years is about more than education. It’s about shaping the future.
“One of them could be the prime minister tomorrow, you never know.”
As a Nursery Manager, that sense of purpose shapes how she leads, creating an environment where children feel secure, valued, and free to grow into themselves.

Episode 4: The One With the Dream Team
Featuring Connie, Nursery Manager at N Greenwich
“What makes a team actually thrive? Be present. Know your team.”
In the final episode of our Nursery Manager Series, we meet Connie, Nursery Manager at N Greenwich, who shares her perspective on leadership, belonging, and the culture that helps teams truly thrive.
For Connie, great leadership isn’t about having all the answers. It’s about being present, learning from one another, and creating an environment where people feel genuinely valued and supported.
At N Greenwich, that culture of support is something she feels proud to see every day.
“For a team to have that culture of people stepping into the building and feeling that atmosphere of belonging, an atmosphere of feeling welcome…I feel so proud of them.”
When Connie first joined N, she admits she felt nervous and unsure whether she would fit in. But what she found was a culture where people genuinely support one another, no matter their role.
“There is no hierarchy at N Family Club and you feel valued.”
That sense of belonging and support quickly reassured her that she had made the right decision.
“It was the best decision I’ve ever made. I’m just glad I took that leap of faith.”
For Connie, leadership is built through trust, presence, and the people around you. And that’s exactly what makes a team thrive.

Nursery Managers at N bring together early years expertise, leadership, customer care, and team development to create environments where children and educators can thrive.
They guide their teams, support families, and ensure every nursery reflects the standards and values that define N.
