Around the world with N: Celebrating five incredible years

At N, we believe exceptional dedication deserves to be celebrated in an exceptional way. Our Round the World Trip benefit gives team members who have completed five years with N the opportunity to embark on an unforgettable adventure.
Eligible team members receive a £1,000 net cash contribution towards their travels and an additional two weeks of paid leave, giving them more time and support to explore the destinations they have always dreamed of visiting.
Amelia and Claudia recently used the benefit to create two very different once-in-a-lifetime journeys. From kayaking in Australia and reconnecting with family to travelling through Sri Lanka by tuk-tuk and exploring the mountains of Vietnam by motorbike, their adventures took them to some incredible places.
We caught up with them to hear about their travels, the memories they brought home and what their journeys at N have meant to them.
Amelia’s Australian adventure
Amelia travelled across Australia, visiting Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide. With family members living in Sydney and Adelaide, the trip gave her a special opportunity to spend time with them, while also exploring Melbourne - a city she had always wanted to visit.
One of the highlights was kayaking through Onkaparinga National Park in Adelaide. It was Amelia’s first time in a kayak, but once she had mastered how to paddle, it became an unforgettable experience.
A particularly treasured memory was meeting her cousins’ children for the first time and taking them to an Aussie Rules game - although, as Amelia admits, they understood the game far better than she did!
“Because Australia is so far away, we wanted to make the most of our time there. The additional annual leave and spending money meant we didn’t have to compromise on the length of our trip or any of the activities we had planned.”
Amelia joined N’s Support Team in 2019 as a Customer Service Associate, a role now known as Admissions Partner. Today, she is Senior Strategic Projects Manager, having built her experience through company-wide projects, exciting events and close collaboration with teams across N’s nurseries.
“I’ve grown so much, both personally and professionally, as N has grown too. These experiences have helped me become more confident and resilient, while giving me the opportunity to work alongside an incredible team who are all so passionate about what they do.”
For Amelia, it is the people at N who have kept her inspired and motivated throughout her journey. Whether she is working with colleagues at the Support Team, collaborating with management teams or visiting a nursery, seeing the care and dedication that goes into giving children the best possible early-years experience continues to motivate her to succeed in her own role.
Claudia’s journey through Asia
Claudia used her Round the World Trip benefit to explore Sri Lanka and Vietnam, two countries that had long been at the top of her bucket list. Drawn to Asia’s rich culture, spirituality and people, she described her journey in three words: freedom, spirituality and presence.
Her adventures included driving a tuk-tuk around Sri Lanka and exploring the spectacular Ha Giang Loop in northern Vietnam by motorbike. Travelling through the mountains and experiencing the freedom of the open road became one of her most treasured memories.
“Receiving the extra paid leave gave me the time and freedom to take two massive trips in a single year - the year I turned 30! I’ll be forever grateful for the opportunity.”
Reaching the five-year milestone felt like a full-circle moment for Claudia. The Round the World Trip benefit had caught her attention when she first applied to N, although she could never have predicted where her journey would take her.
Claudia joined N in a junior Talent Acquisition role before broadening her experience across the People team. Today, she is Senior People Experience Manager, leading work across the employee lifecycle and team happiness. With N’s support, she has also qualified as a coach and now serves as one of N’s internal coaches.
“I’m particularly proud of my professional growth and the tangible impact I’ve had along the way. I’ve worked alongside and managed diverse HR teams, led projects I never initially thought I was capable of - including our employer branding project and the launch of N’s first careers website - and gained two professional qualifications, all while growing alongside the business.”
Looking ahead, Claudia is excited to use her coaching skills to build high-performing teams, create meaningful employee experiences and empower leaders to bring out the best in their people. She is also keen to explore how AI and automation can reduce administrative work, creating more time for the strategic work that strengthens N’s culture and helps make it the best workplace in the UK.
Five years of making a difference
Although their journeys were very different, Amelia and Claudia had something very special to celebrate: years of growing, contributing and making a difference at N.
Their adventures are a brilliant reminder that our benefits are designed to recognise the people who help make N what it is. The Round the World Trip is our way of saying thank you for five exceptional years and helping our team create memories that will last a lifetime.
